What are some key features of the DLS MD Portal app?

  • Free app healthcare professionals who receive services from Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc.
  • Push notification alerts for Critical and STAT test results.
  • View new/unread patient results.
  • Verify individual patient demographics to ensure patient safety.
  • View historical results.

How can I choose what notifications I receive?

  1. Log in.
  2. Select the specific site you want to modify. (You  will not have this option if you only have one site.)
  3. Tap the “Settings” button on the bottom right of the screen.
  4. Tap “Push Notification Filter”.
  5. Choose from the options.

How can I stop notifications?

  1. Log in.
  2. Select the specific site you want to modify. (You  will not have this option if you only have one site.)
  3. Tap the “Settings” button on the bottom right of the screen.
  4. Tap “Push Notification Filter”.
  5. Choose “Off”.

What happens if I miss a Critical or STAT notification?

  • DLS will contact you or your office.

My patient’s information is incorrect, what should I do?

  • If you find incorrect information listed on DLS MD Portal, please contact DLS Client Services Department at 808-589-5101.

I was logged out of DLS MD Portal, what happened?

  • We aim to protect your patient’s privacy and the security of their information. If your account has no activity for 10 minutes, you will be automatically logged out. Once you are done reviewing results, it is highly recommended that you log out.

What do I do if I no longer want to use DLS MD Portal?

  • Contact your DLS marketing rep at 808-688-8284.

App unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open.

My DLS MD Portal app unexpectedly quits, stopped responding, or won’t open. (Check app between each step)

a) Restart the app. (Close and reopen app)

b) Restart your device. (Turn your device off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on)

c) Check for app updates in the Apple “App Store” or Google “Play Store”.

  1. Make sure that your device is using latest operating system version.
  2. Open the Apple “App Store” or Google “Play Store” and tap Updates.
  3. If updates are available, tap Update next to the app.
  4. If asked, enter your Apple ID or Google account password.
  5. It’s best to use a Wi-Fi connection to update the app.

d) Install another app from the “App Store” or “Play Store”.

  • Try installing a different app that you don’t have on your device. Find a free app, and remember to use the same Apple ID or Google account that you used to download the app that you’re having issues with to confirm that your device is working properly.

e) Delete and reinstall the app.

  • Apple Devices:
    1. Tap and hold the app until it jiggles.
    2. Tap the “X”  on the app.
    3. Press the Home button.
    4. Go to the “App Store” and download the app again.
    5. Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.
  • Android Devices:
    1. Open your “Settings” app.
    2. Tap “Apps” or “Application manager”.
    3. Tap the app you want to uninstall. You may need to scroll to find the app.
    4. Tap “Uninstall”.
    5. Download again by tapping “Menu”, “My Apps and games”, “Library”.
    6. Tap the “DLS MD Portal” app.
    7. Tap “Install” or “Enable”.

Why am I receiving notifications for sites that are not my own?

If you have access to multiple sites, by default you will receive STAT & Critical notifications for every site you have access to. To turn off notifications, log into DLS MD Portal, select the specific site, touch the “Settings” button at the bottom of the screen, touch the “Push Notification Filter” and make your selection. Options will be “STAT & Critical”, STAT Only, Critical Only or Off.

What notifications will I receive?

  • DLS MD Portal defaults to Critical and STAT notifications.

What devices and operating systems are supported?

  • Most Apple mobile devices with operating systems 10.3 and above.
  • Most Android phones with operating systems 5.1 and above.
  • Other mobile devices may work but are not supported.
  • This software is not compatible with Android tablets.

Who can use the DLS MD Portal app?

  • Physicians and healthcare staff needing secure mobile access to patient results.

Is the DLS MD Portal app secure?

  • We provide a secure means of transferring data by following HIPAA guidelines, which are based on NIST 800-52, for encryption methods for open transmission of sensitive data.

When can I see my patient’s test results in DLS MD Portal?

  • Typically, immediately after release from the laboratory information system. But may take up to 10 minutes after release, depending on peak hour traffic.

How do I download the DLS MD Portal app?

  • Search for “DLS MD Portal” in the Apple “App Store” (iOS) or Google “Play Store” (Android).

How do I register an account?

How can I update my password?

  • Changing your password on the DLS MD Portal app or DLS Web Results online, applies to both resources.”
